Memorial services for Floyd E. Biggs, age 82, of the Rocky Mound Community of Macon County, were conducted Friday, August 5, 2005, 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Bro. Donald Veatch officiating.  Floyd E. Biggs passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Macon County General Hospital.  A native of Sumner County, TN, he was the son of the late John Floyd and Ozzie Farrah Biggs. He was married to the former Brenda Faye Cathey, who survives. His daughter, Jessica Biggs; sons, Joseph Floyd and Floyd Milton Biggs; sister, Bonnie Perry; and brother, John Thomas Biggs preceded him in death. He had worked in the music business as a promoter for Southern Records in Nashville. He was Baptist in belief.  Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, John (Beatrice) Biggs, Lafayette, William David (Cathey) Biggs, Murfreesboro, James Christopher (Anita) Biggs, Akersville, KY, John Thomas (Stacey) Biggs, Jubal Biggs and Joshua Biggs, all of the Rocky Mound Community of Macon County, Jimmy Long, Jacksonville, FL, Paul Copeland, Lafayette; daughters, Clara Gale Biggs, Lafayette, Donna Collins, Westmoreland; sisters, Leta Valendy, St. Louis, MO, Loraine Guenther, St. Louis, MO, Mattie Ruelen, Dallas, Texas, Betty Ann Cothon, Norfolk, VA; brother, Melvin Biggs, Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN.

Tina Mae Casteel Drucken-miller, age 28, of Kimberly County, Portland, passed away July 31, 2005.  Funeral services were held Thursday, August 4, 2005, 2 p.m. at Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene May officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Curtis Graves, Pee Wee Graves, Junior Graves, Nick Young, Jeremy Forsythe, Scott White, Fred Smith.  She was the daughter of James Garnett Casteel, Jr. of Westmoreland and the late Shirley Pauline Graves. She was married to Bernie Druckenmiller of Portland who also survives. She was employed at Sonic Drive-In in Portland.  Other survivors include a son, Taylor John Druckenmiller of Portland; daughter, McKayla Druckenmiller of Portland; brothers, James Allen Casteel and Joshua Lee Casteel, both of Westmoreland; sisters, Tammy Sue Wix of Gallatin and Teresa Pauline Webber of Westmore-land.  Arrangements by Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home in West-moreland, TN.

Funeral services for Betty S. Bean Browning Englert, age 62, of Indianapolis, IN and formerly of Hermitage Springs, TN were conducted Thursday morning, August 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Dale Strong officiating. Pallbearers were Brian Butcher, Brence Bean, Brian Brown, Anthony Whittemore, Jonathan Whitte-more, Marty Blankenship. Interment followed in Hermitage Springs Cemetery.  Mrs. Englert passed away Sunday morning, July 31, 2005 at her residence.  A native of Clay County, TN, she was the daughter of Mildred West Bean of Hermitage Springs and the late Otto Bean. On January 7, 1957, she was married to Glen Dale Browning, who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1982. She later married Terry Englert on Feb. 8, 1986, who survives. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Bean. She was a certified Nurses' Assistant with The Palace, Lakeview and Delmar Nursing Homes and a member of the Southport Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Indiana-polis, IN.  Survivors besides her husband and mother include: daughter, Cathy (Dickey Lane) Birdwell, Hermitage Springs; sisters, Donna (Jack) Brown, Mt. Juliet, Peggy (Ron) Roberts, Celina; brothers, Roger (Diana) Bean, Red Boiling Springs, Ronnie Bean, Union Hill; grandson, Nathan (Jolena) Birdwell, Oak Grove.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Red Boiling Springs, TN.

 

Richard Clinton (Shot) Fishburn, age 78, passed away August 7, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and Joe Fishburn of Lafayette and a son, Richard Lee (Rick) Fishburn.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Edith Mickee Fishburn and son, Craig Fishburn, both of Nashville; brother, Bill Fishburn of Hendersonville; sister, Betty Jo (Jerry) Eckert of Colorado, two nieces and two nephews.  He worked with his father in the log woods and farming before going to work at Ford Glass Plant in 1969. He retired in 1991 due to failing eye sight but enjoyed a healthy and vigorous retirement up to the very end.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Chapel of Roses in Nashville.

Funeral services for Jerry B. "Fuzz" Holland, age 60, of Whitleyville and formerly of Lafayette, were conducted Wednesday, August 10, 2005, 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Thomas Earl Roark officiating. Pallbearers were John Dyer, Troy Centers, Keith Centers, Kevin Centers, Billy Centers and Bill Driver. Interment was in Scott Cemetery.  Jerry B. Holland, better known as "Fuzz", passed away Saturday afternoon, August 6, 2005 at his residence.  A native of Macon County, TN, he was the son of the late Leon and Annie Frazier Holland. On Jan. 17, 1963, he was married to Wanda Ford, who preceded him in death on August 23, 1998. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Wayne Holland. He was a logger and farmer.  Survivors include daughters: Loretta (David) Carter, Scottsville, KY, Linda (Lee) Andrews; granddaughter, Amanda Jo Smalling; sisters, Betty (Pete) Centers, Mary Dyer, Lucy (Randall) King, Billie Ruth (Ronnie) Carver, all of Lafayette.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN.

Funeral services for Robert Wright Lambert, age 77, of the Rocky Mound Community of Macon County were conducted Friday, August 5, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with E.C. Meadows officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Interment was in Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette.  Robert Wright Lambert passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Macon County General Hospital.  A native of Union County, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Walter Merton and Dorothy Wright Lambert. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a graduate of Drexel University in Philadel-phia and was a retired Trust Investment Officer at Provident National Bank in Philadelphia.  His sister, Jane (John) Rising, Rocky Mound Community; brother, Richard (Marianne) Lambert, Atlanta, GA and several nieces and nephews survive.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette.

Mr. Jerry Lee "Peanut" Lancaster, age 38, of Carthage, was pronounced dead on arrival at Carthage General Hospital Saturday morning, July 30, 2005 of injuries received in an auto accident on Defeated Creek Hwy.  Funeral services were conducted from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon with Elder James Thomas Gibbs and Elder Charles Allen Gentry officiating. Following the 3 p.m. services, burial was in the family plot at Sanderson Cemetery in Pleasant Shade.  Born August 13, 1966 in Lebanon, he was the son of James Leslie Lancaster of Carthage and Sina Ann Smith Lancaster of Lebanon. He attended Smith County High School and was in the Class of 1986. He was of Missionary Baptist faith. He was employed an an installer of automatic car washes. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Indian Creek Archery Club.  Surviving in addition to his parents are two daughters, Tiffany and Millie Lancaster, both of Carthage; brother, James S. "Cowboy" Lancaster of Carthage.  Sanderson of Carthage, directors.

Rev. Homer Grey Lee, age 91, of Oak Grove Church Road, Bethpage, TN, passed way Thursday, August 4, 2005.  Funeral services were held Sunday, August 7, 2005, 2:30 p.m. at Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Freeman and Bro. James Sadler officiating. Burial was in Allen County Memorial Gardens in Scottsville, KY. Pallbearers were George Wilson, Holly Holland, Oscar Thompson, Malcom Thompson, Ed Hisenberg, Jr., Steve Garrison.  He was the son of the late Napolian Sampson and Maude Lewis Lee. He was married to Marquerite Massey Lee, who also preceded him in death.  Survivors include daughters, Harriett Lee Sanders, Nashville, Peggy Joyce Slayton, Westmore-land, Linda Sue Burgett of Gallatin; sister, Mary Mosley, Franklin, KY; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death also by a brother, Oscar Lee.  Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home in Westmoreland was in charge of arrangements.

 

Mrs. Pauline Satterfield Moss, age 74, of Hartsville, TN died Monday, August 1, 2005 at her home.  She is survived by her husband, Mrs. James Moss, Jr., Hartsville; son, Randy (Bonnie) Satterfield, Hartsville; three daughters, Carol (Ken) Bess, Hartsville, Janet (Jimmy) Armistead, Carthage, JoAnn Saltsman, Lafayette; seven step-sons, Roger (Janie) Ray, Castalian Springs, David (Patricia) Moss, Hartsville, Ricky Moss, Carthage, Brownie Moss, Castalian Springs, Howard (Brenda) Moss, Hartsville, James (Becky) Moss, Watertown, Carl Moss; two step-daughters, Marie Rogers, Gallatin, Allie (Jr.) Keys, Gallatin; 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Funeral services were held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, 2 p.m., conducted by Bro. Frank Bratcher. Honorary pallbearers were David, James, Ricky, Carl and Brownie Moss and Roger Ray; active pallbearers were Kendall & Kenny Bess, Dale & Danny Shoulders, Gary Keisling and Howard A. Moss.  Interment was in Friendship Cemetery.

 

Matthew A. Trace, age 49, of Oregon, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 after a battle with cancer.  He was born Sept. 13, 1955 to John and Jane Trace of Walbridge, Ohio, and was a graduate of Lake High School. He retired from Jeep in 2004 after thirty years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding on his Harley Davidson and camping with family. He loved Nascar and was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.  He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Cindy; daughters, Kaitlyn and Carra; son, Corey; grandsons, Luke and Levi; brothers, Mark, John and Fred (Cindy) Trace; Granny Ginny Hughes; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Roberta Tate, along with many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home with burial in Lake Township Cemetery.
