Doris M. Pitcock Savage, age 73, of Kempton, Indiana, passed away April 28, 2005 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.  She was born August 16, 1931 in Monroe County, KY, the daughter of the late Mordecai and Nancy Richardson Pitcock. She was married to Elton L. Savage who also preceded herin death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Savage; two brothers, Sam Pitcock and Cordell Pitcock; and a sister, Betty June Pitcock. She was retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo, IN where she worked as a computer operator. She was a member of the U.A.W. Local 292 in Kokomo.  She is survived by two sons, Wayne L. and Dotty Savage and Dale A. and Nancy Savage, all of Tipton, IN; daughter, Sharon F. Kelich of Muncie, IN; brother, Paul Pitcock of Holland, KY; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Monday, May 2, 2005, 11 a.m. at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood, officiating by Rev. Roger Gardner. Burial was in K of P - I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton.

Reba Upton Foster, age 91, of New Hwy. 52, Westmoreland, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005.  Funeral services were held Friday, April 29, 1 p.m. at Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home conducted by Rev. George Reed. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Upton, Chuck Upton, Mark Carter, David Carter, Jay Foster, Ken Finch.  She was the daughter of the late Charles Grant Upton and Mollie Hanes Upton. She was married to Carl Foster, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.  Survivors include a son, Larry (Mary Ann) Foster of Kingsport, TN; a daughter, Barbara Warren of Nashville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Anderson & Woodard Funeral Home in Westmoreland was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Marcie Smith Gann, age 36, of Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN, were conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Honorary pallbearers were the faculty and staff of Hawkins Middle School and Knox-Doss Middle School. Active pallbearers were Matt Birdwell, Gerald Carter, Joseph Cook, Ben Smith, Bradley Smith and Calvin Smith.  Marcie Smith Gann passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Wilson County, TN, on Sept. 4, 1968, the daughter of Kenneth and Gale Smith of Red Boiling Springs, who survive. She was married to Lynn Gann on July 11, 1992, who survives, as well as their son, Jacob Lynn "Jake". She was a 1986 graduate of Red Boiling Springs High School and a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. She was a 13-year veteran teacher with the Sumner County Board of Education. She taught at Hawkins Middle School and Knox-Doss Middle School. She was a member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ where she taught in the children's Bible School program.  Besides her husband, son, and parents, she is survived by her father and mother-in-law, Ira and Janie Gann, Lafayette, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Vickie Eldridge, Hilham, TN; two nephews and one niece.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN.

Funeral services for Geraldine Douglas Hire, age 85, of the Haysville Community, were conducted Thursday, April 28, 2005, 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Bro. Guthrie Gregory and Bro. Mark Templeton officiating. Pallbearers were Eddie Blankenship, Robert Goad, Larry Wayne Law, Larry Freeman Law, Harold Bandy, Bobby Meador and Tommy Dozier. Interment followed in Haysville Cemetery.  Geraldine Hire passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette.  A native of Macon County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Pearl Haynes Douglas. She married Carl Hire who preceded her in death in February of 1994. She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Hire. She was a homemaker, a member of Haysville Home Demonstration Club for more than 50 years and a member of Haysville Methodist Church.  There are no immediate survivors.  Arrangements by Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN.

Snowie Lee Hire, 87, of the Cold Springs Community, passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 at her residence. The Jackson County, Tennessee, native was born Wednesday, December 12, 1917, a daughter of the late Jonas Clay Hopkins and Beulah Mai Jones Hopkins. She was a former resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, where she worked for several years as an assembly line worker for R.C.A., and attended Southwest Church of God. She was united in marriage on April 7, 1934 to Earl Hire.  She is survived by her husband of over 71 years, Earl Hire, of the Cold Springs Community; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Brenda Hire, Camby, Indiana; 2 grandchildren, Lori Edwards and Larry Hire; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Hopkins, Camby, Indiana; 3 sisters, Ruby Wilhoite, Indianapolis, Indiana; Velva Jean Marsh and Hallie Woods, both of Lafayette, TN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Mack Hopkins, J. B. Hopkins, Jimmy D. Hopkins, William Oda Hopkins, and Arthur Clay Hopkins, 2 sisters, Virgie Whitney and Hester Herald, and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Lucille Hire.  Funeral services for Snowie Lee Hire were conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 2, 2005 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Rev. Harold King and Bro. Tony Hopkins officiating. Burial was in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mike Harper, Larry Herald, Lloyd Lee Graves, Terry Brawner, Eldon Clark, and Larry Wix.  Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Robinson Parker, 89, a resident of Knollwood Manor in Lafayette, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Knollwood Manor. The Macon County, Tennessee native was born Saturday, October 23, 1915, a daughter of the late Aubrey Baxter Robinson and Angie D. White Robinson. She was a member of Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee of Texas Boot Company. She was united in marriage to Lester Parker, who preceded her in death on January 15, 1978.  She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Frances and George Shockley, Ann and Harold Miller, Danny and Conilla Robinson, Kathleen and Joe Womack, Mageline Wilburn, Doyle and Betty Robinson, Bonnie and Bobby Evetts, Gordon and Ann Robinson, Joyce and Don Reneau; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Stevens, 3 brothers, Carl Robinson, Dennis Robinson, and Earl Robinson, and a nephew, Follis Robinson.  Funeral services for Ruby Robinson Parker were conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2005 at Alexander-Goad Funeral Home with Eld. Richard Wilson and Eld. Don Curtis officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Robinson, Andy Miller, Harold Miller, Gordon Robinson, Joe Womack, Ricky Crawford, Don Reneau, Nathan Gregory, and George Shockley.  Alexander-Goad Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN was in charge of arrangements.

Mamie Lee Oldham Richard-son, age 87, of Gallatin, died May 1, 2005. Mrs. Richardson passed away in the home of her granddaughter where she had resided since January.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Oma Oldham; brothers, Elston Oldham, Leslie Oldham; and her husband, Herman E. "Popi" Richardson in January, 2005.  She is survived by a son, Roy (Sharon) Richardson, Hartsville; daughter, Shirley (Robert) Walton, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 1 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Moffatt officiating. Pallbearers were Ian Porter, Alan Glaser, Guy Herndon, Ron Jones, Steve Cooper and Dan Stubblefield. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park.  Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin was in charge of arrangements.
