She was a retired teacher of the McNairy County School System where she taught for 44 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Selmer. She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth "Connie" Sharp. She is survived by two grandchildren, Wendy Rickman and Michael Sharp of Selmer, care giver Miss Sherry Floyd of Selmer, and one sister Essie Gilbert of Houston, TX. Also surviving are three gr-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sun. at 1:30 p.m. with burial following at Mt. She was an avid gardener, and professional quilter and seamstress. Mrs. Lamberth was the oldest member and a song leader at Pocahontas First Baptist Church. Services were 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at Pocahontas First Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Smith and Bro. Sam Howell officiating. Burial was in Essary Springs Cemetery. Mr. Rickman was born in the Gilchrist Community of McNairy County, the son of the late Walter and Sallie Burns Rickman. He attended school at Mt. Zion and Tri County at Milledgeville and in 1936 was married to Margie Stanford of the Mt. Zion Community. They made their home in Milledgeville where Mr. Rickman farmed. He was a member of the McNairy Co. Farm Bureau and the McNairy-Hardin County Co-Op- and had served on their boards in the past. He had always been busy in the affairs of his community and farming circles. He loved sports and encouraged his children to participate in sports and he always followed them when they were playing regardless where they went playing baseball, basketball and football. He was a faithful Christian and made sure his children went to church. He led his children to the fields to work through the week and always took Sunday to go to Church. He is survived by his wife Margie Stanford Rickman, four sons, Wayne Rickman of Orlando, FL, Lynn Rickman of Savannah, Neal Rickman of Milledgeville, and Royce Rickman of Adamsville, two daughter, Diane Newell of Selmer and Rita Thomas of Valdosta, GA< three brothers, Harold Rickman of Bolivar, Jerry Dean Rickman of Adamsville, and Gene Rickman of Enville, four sisters, Beatrice Hughes of Morris Chapel, Dorothy Bridges of Milledgeville, Grace Spencer of Milledgeville, and Marie Essary Wells of Milledgeville, fourteen grandchildren and then gr-grandchildren. Mr. Hardin was a member of the Tate Baptist Church where he was a deacon, charter member of Corinth Civistan Club, ABC’s of Tate Baptist Church, Corinth Coin Club, Selmer Coin Club, and one of the founders of the Corinth Boys Club in 1954. He is preceded in death by his wife, Erlene Morehead Hardin, mother, Virgie Wallace Hardin White, father, Ulmer Hardin and brother, A. C. White Jr. He is survived by two daughters, Brylene Hardin Teague and husband Benny of Ramer, and Betty Hardin Roberts and husband Kenny of Savannah, two sisters, Thema Guthans of Philadelphia, MS, and Sara Pinson and husband Carlis of Raymond, MS, six grandchildren, Delise Teague, Emily Layne and husband, Tim all of Ramer, Bart Teague and wife, Audra of Humboldt, Chris Roberts of Savannah, Phan Lam Roberts Nguyen and husband, Tan, of Marrero, LA, and Becka Roberts Austin and husband, Kenin of Savannah, ten gr-grandchildren Hannah Gillentine, Jordan Gillentine, Jacob Prather, Mary Beth Prather, Brady Teague, Avery Teague, Callie Teague, Paul Nguyen, Elizabeth Nguyen, and David Nguyen, a special niece, Norma Jenkins, numerous other nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Sun. At 2 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Darnell and Charlie Browning officiating. Burial followed at Forrest Memorial Park. After retirement, he served as a bailiff in Judge Bob McDuff’s courtroom and served at Principal at Roswell Street Baptist Christian School from 1998 to may 21000. He was a member at the First Baptist church of Powder Springs where he served as deacon, and Sunday School Teacher.
