BROTHER KILLED AT GARLAND, TEXAS

   W. M. HARRIS of Littlelot, received notice of the death of his brother Elijah J. HARRIS of Garland, Texas, on Wednesday night of last week under tragic circumstances.  While officially discharging the duties of office as constable at Garland, Mr. HARRIS was fatally wounded by robbers who were caught by the officer in an attempt to rob a local drug store.
   Miss Sara HARRIS, daughter of the victim, is a night-operator at the Garland telephone exchange and received her father's call for help while on duty as operator.  The injured man was removed to his home, where he lived only a short while.
   Funeral services and burial were held in Garland, where the family has lived the past eighteen years since their removal from Dickson County.
