Dec. 18, 1924 Mrs. FORTNER Passes Eightieth Milestone Mrs. Theresa FORTNER, one of Centreville's best known citizens, was the honoree of an informal dinner on Friday of last week in honor of her eightieth birthday, given by Mrs. J. Frank HORNER who has lived a close neighbor many years. Sharing the pleasure of complimenting the honor guest was her only daughter, Miss Mary L. FORTNER of Little Rock, Ark., who sent a mammoth cake with eighty candles, timing the package to arrive for the event which had previously been planned as a surprise. The delicious cake was shared by Mrs. FORTNER with children of the neighborhood during the afternoon, the guest list including the children of Mr. and Mrs. George PARRIS and Mr. and Mrs. HORNER. |
