Overton County has some wonderful volunteers who are
transcribing old record books which will be sold to the public
to help support the County Archives project. If we get the County
Archives furnished and going then we will help the County Museum.
Thanks to some of you nice people who send money to help in cleaning
and preserving the old loose records of the county we were able
to establish a nice checking account.
As the County Archivist, I'd like to let you know that when you
are in town or if you want to visit the County Archives please
contact me, Reda Bilbrey 931-823-5259 and we will work out something
to get you in. We work on Old records every Monday Night 6:00
to 9:00 in the Annex Basement. You are welcome. There are some
"mighty nice" people working on these old records.
