FANNIN/FANNING/Fannon: Am searching for Middleton FANNIN(G) in Overton Co. Middleton was b.c 1765 Va. md. Delphia Ann MOORE, 1787 Caswell Co. NC. Moved to Elbert Co. Ga. had quite and active. Is said to have moved to Lincoln Co. TN after 1805. Have not comfirmed he was actually ever there. Delphia and children were. Found where Middleton joined the Tennesssee Militia in Overton Co.. Sept. 15, 1808, as Lieutenant, 35th Reg. as Middleton FANNON. No clue to his where abouts since this date. Any info would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.

Looking for information on my grandparents, Samuel H. TALLEY and wife Eva or Evie. The 1920 census showed then living in Overton County with four children. He was 56 and she was 35. Green Searching for the parents of Enoch and Hardin Green. Father could be John Greene born abt. 1786 in NC and died after 1860. John is shown in the 1860 Overton Co. census with a Martha age 40.John possibly could have married a Hagaman in NC, but that is only speculation. Other possible children for John would be Allen,Sarah and Rachel. Did John have another daughter named Nancy Angeline who married a cousin Thomas, the son of Richard Green of NC?

I am searching and willing to share inforamtion on all Sumner Co, Wilson Co., and Overton Co. families: PRYOR/ PRIOR/ PURYEAR, TAYLOR, GARRETT, CURRY, and TALLEY. I am interested in trying to piece together which Pryor families in the area are related. I recently obtained a copy of a lengthy 1832 court case which gives further information on these families. And also obtained copy of 1849 divorce of William Prior and Margaret Curry Pryor. I would like to find our which of the Pryors William is related to. I live in England and would appreciate any help... it's difficult to do much searching here.

I am researching the Jefferson and Mary COPELAND family who originated from Overton County, and came to Texas via wagon train in the mid-1800's. Who were their parents? One family researcher has found that Jefferson's mother or grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee. Her name was Hannah THATCHER WARD. Reuqesting further info on the family and ancestry of Isaac SWALLOWS, b. 1839 in Overton County, TN. He was the son of Reuben and Bethona C. SWALLOWS. Isaac left for Daviess County, Indiana @ 1860 and is listed on Overton County, TN and Daviess County, IN censuses for 1860. His mother and father gave the enumerator all of the names of their children whether living at home or not. Later, in the 1870's, Isaac's brother John G. (b. 1856) and his sister Rebecca joined him in Daviess County, IN. Isaac first married Sarah Franklin in 1860 and later Mary Belle Orrender in 1871, all in Daviess County, Indiana. Isaac had children Reuben, Richard, Elijah, Sarah, Mary, Delia, Catherine, Charley Anderson. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have just made the connection back to Overton Co for an ISAAC N. NEELY, born 1845. He had a brother name ARTHUR VINSON NEELY who was born in 1847. Their father was CHARLES NEELY who married circa 1843. The family moved to Texas in 1849 and CHARLES NEELY married a second time to JANE ANN NEWTON in 1852.
