I am searching for information on William George CHRISTIAN and wife Nancy ELDRIDGE Christian. They had the following children born in Overton County: Mararete "Mary" Christian, Fannie J. Christian 1856, her twin Walter Christian, Joseph Hillary Christian September 10, 1857. If you have any info on this family please contact me. I have info to share also.

My father, Buford Arlin BOWLIN, was born in Livingston, Overton County, Tennessee, July 11, 1933. His parents were Will Arlin Bowlin, born August 17, 1893 in Cumberland County, Kentucky and died January 19, 1939 in Livingston, TN and is buried in the Eck Moore Cemetery also called McDonald Cemetery because of Dr. MCDONALD being buried there. My grandmother, Will's wife was Cora T. ANDERSON born August 28, 1899 and died March 23, 1977. Cora and Will were married 28 March 1914 (place unknown). If anyone has any information on this Bowlin family, I would appreciate it. My dad was only 5 when his father died and he knows nothing about his Bowlin heritage. Also, why does this cemetery have two names? I visited there last weekend and it's a beautiful spot. My great grandfather (Cora's dad) is buried there, Ulysses S. Grant Anderson, as well as my dad's sister, Beulah COOPER and another sister Bonnie Lucy Bowlin and a brother, Russell Lee Bowlin. This is a brick wall for me and I would love to knock it down!

Duvi Lee RAMSEY Nov 19, 1893. Died Oct. 15, 1903. Benny Elbert Ramsey May 1, 1899. Died Sept. 19 1946. Ernest Albert Ramsey May 25, 1902. Died May 27, 1976. Ernest Albert was married to Carrie GREEN who died in 1933 and later married her sister Mary Alice.

Looking for information on a town called Olympus, TN. Need to know if this town had any signifigance durning the civil war and any misc. info if it did. This town was a part of either Fentress or Overton Co. during the Civil War. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My dad's sister, Beulah Mae BOWLIN, born 1918, gave birth to a son, Billy Horace Bowlin, July 2, 1936. In the family bible, it states his name as Billy Horace MCDONALD. She never did tell who the father of Billy was because he was a married man. Family gossip states that Billy's father was a man by the name of Burr McDonald from Livingston, TN. Could someone help me with this? Billy died October, 1988 , and his oldest son, Randy Bowlin would love to find his McDonald relatives. We went searching all over Livingston one day for a lady by the name of Dean McDonald who told Randy she was related to Burr McDonald. If anyone can help me, thank you in advance.

Trying to locate any information regarding my g-g-grandfather, Riley HARRISON born Overton Co. ca 1820. He married Martha Elizabeth CARR ca 1845. I believe she was born in Jackson Co. Tenn. Children included: Arena b.ca 1845, Martha Elizabeth b. 2 Jan 1848, Sarah J. b.ca 1850, George W. b. 5 Jan 1851, William R. b.ca 1852, Nancy Jane b. ca 1853, Matilda b.6 Nov 1857,Albert P. b. ca 1863, Missouri b. 28 Mar 1864, Harriet Susan v. 6 Mar 1866, and Lewis Elvis b 24 Mar, 1869. I think Riley's parents are Richard and Elizabeth (West) Harrison. Any help with this line would be very much appreciated. Would be glad to share any information I have.

My gg-grandfather was possibly Willis CORNWELL b. 3/3/1827 d.5/5/1906. siblings of g-grandfather William Howard were Logan & Francis CORNWELL.
