Have lots of info on MORGAN'S of Overton and Campbell Co. TN. Needconnection from Henry H. Morgan B. 1806 back. He was married toMillie Ann Clark (McGuffie or Guffie). Had 12 children. Laborn,Epraim, Wm. Hampford, Rachael, John B., Joseph R. (my greatgrandfather), Hetta, Phoebe, Louise Ida, Lucinda, Nancy and MaryMalissa. All moved to Ark. them to OK> after turn of century (1900).No definite connections to Henry H.s ancesters. Possibly from N.Carolina?

Rachel NORRIS married Robert HUDSON 3-26-1880 probably in Tn. They appeared in Clinton Co Ky in 1880 census. Rachel was the daughter of William Billy Norris of Overton Co Tn. I am trying to find the family (not parents) that raised Robert Hudson b.1-4-1856 in Clinton Co Ky. If you have any information on either of these families please let me know. Thanks Chris

Any information that you might have on Jefferson HALFACRE and his wife Ann, Their son Rosevelt Cordell Halfacre, and lives in Lewis Co. at this time, he is almost 95 years old and is my husband's grandfather, we are trying to find his family and his recolections are poor. Any help appreciated he was born in Overton County in 1904.

Would like to know if Jonas and Mary Barnes HILL had any children while in Overton Co. Tenn. Jonas died in 1838 Tn. He was in Rev War. Jonas b.1763 Granville Co. NC. After his death Mary came to Van Buren Co. Ar where she married David CASTLEBERRY in 1846. Lists two children Claburn Hill est 1821 and Elizabeth 1837. In the 1850 census of Van Buren Co. Clayburn was 29 and Elizabeth Hill 13. This census says b. SC.

Looking for any information on the ABNER family that is listed in the 1860 census of Overton county. George W Abner 30 yr, Elizabeth 28 yr, Alexander 9, William 6, Andrew 5, Lucetta 1. I know very little about this family. Trying to connect with an Issac Abner, maybe a brother. Who were parents? Any infornation about this family would help.

Seek information about Ezekial HILL and wives. Ezekial HILL b. about 1785 NC or SC, living in Overton Cty in 1850 age 65. Had children in TN by at least 2 wives. By Millie: Thomas, Joshua, Rube, Betsy and Mariah HILL; and by (unknown)William, Moses and John HILL. Some descendants left Overton Cty for IT around 1870. They claimed were Cherokee. Unknown whether thru Ezekial, his wife(s) or both.

Is there anyone with information on the parents of Daniel BROWN b. 1832 in Tennessee near Nashville? Would like information regarding any part of this family. Daniel married Nancy MULLINS. Would also like information on when they were married. Nancy Mullins died about 1864. Their children were Harriet b. 23 Jan. 1852 in Putnam County, John F. b. 2 Feb. 1854, William H. b. 1856, David Dec. 1859, Daniel W. b. 1863. Daniel moved to Illinois. Found in 1870 Saline, Ill. census. Calvin Monroe was born 4 Feb. 1870 in Saline Ill. Daniel had remarried a Nancy A. Hafford at this time.

Seeking info on BELL family who lived in Overton county until about 1942. So far located following info, Thomas Bell, wife Mary HAMPTON, last located in 1880 in Roane, Siblings were Alford or Alfred Bell, Sewell Bell 1/2 brother, sister was Kitty (NORRIS) Bell. Children of Thomas were Burges, James W. William, and Elizabeth.Burges found in White with 1st wife Mary WILLIAMS, next with 2nd wife Ella Mae SMITH said to be Mary Williams' sister, in Overton, Fentress and Roane. Children of Burges by Mary were, Jesse (Linder), Freddie Bell and by Ella Mae he had James Charles (Charlie),Elmer Carl (my dad), Ruby (Arms), Olin Paul lived with Smith family, Odean (Dean) adopted by GIPSON family, Cecil Bell. ANY help appreciated!!!!!!!!

Gggrandmother, Celia BILBERY, b 9/14/1847 in TN. Married William MARCHBANKS, 11/14/1847. 1850 Overton Cty census lists them along with dau., Caledonia, b 1848. Also listed in household were Sarah BILBERY, age 20, and James WILMOTH, age 22. Later census records show her father b in NC and mother in SC. They left Overton in 1850, lived in Tarrant Cty TX until 1868 or 69, came to Sebastian Cty AR where they died. I suspect connection to Denton family. She named a son Ozias DENTON. Does anyone know who her parents and siblings were?

Am interested in John and Jacob GARRETT that moved from Camden County,NC to Overton County,Tn. after 1771. John was married to Elizabeth PFIEFFER in 1771 in NC.My Great Grand Father Ephriam Olonzo Garrett was born in Overton and married Catherine BOST in Overton County. I need to get information on the Bost Family. I think they were mostly located in Ga.I am trying to find out who John's father and Grand Father was.

Need any info on William P. DAVIDSON and Mary Ellen EVANS, my ggrandparents, married c 1878. Children: Sarah, Sofie, Nannie Bell, Cora, Effie, and Minnie. I think they were from the Forbus area and are buried in the Williams Chapel Cemetery.
