Perry Cemetery/Graves

On Nov. 24, 2006, we drove to the end of a road and walked a little distance passed great Perrenes dogs and barbed wire fences and found the graves we were looking for on Perry Creek ie. Benjamin Perry born Feb. 26,1791 died Apr. 26, 1870, his wife Delaney Perry born Mar. 29,1795 died Oct. 21, 1881; their son James Perry born Jan. 1836 and died at 18 years.  It seems that a daughter Eliza born 1813 (which was their first born in NC) had the stones made to replace old field stone.  We found an old stone for Benjamin and Delaney in the dirt.  There were a couple or more unmarked field stones.  A Perry descendant told us that he remembered when there were many more graves before the land was stripped mined.  Do you have any info on this cemetery?  Thanks  Jackie
