Barnett, James Fleming M.D. 1856-1894
There are 25-30 other unmarked and marked by fieldstone graves that are said to be
the burial place of the Ford family slaves. This cemetery is appox. 150 yards from
the Ford family cemetery on the same farm.
Dr. Barnett was an Afro-American said to have came here from northern United States.
Many years ago the family of those buried here use to visit and had a plat of the
burials. The existence of this plat is no longer known.
