Denton Cemetery
The Denton cemetery is located approx. three and one-half miles west of Carthage on a
farm at #366 Lebanon Hwy.(Hwy.70N) in the Watervale community. The cemetery is recorded
on Map 52 Parcel 29 as Denton Cemetery on the Smith County TN exempt tax roll.
There appears to be only one grave marked by a fieldstone.
The Denton family was in Smith County by the early 1800s and there are
two other Denton Cemeteries within a half mile of this one.
We have been unable to determine who is buried here.
