Frogue Cemetery
The Frogue Cemetery is located on Farley Lane off Turkey Creek Hwy. about a mile north of
Carthage. The tombstone was found face down on a bank fifty foot from foundation of old house.

Frogue, John W. 2 Aug 1904 - 24 Mar 1911
"Sleep On dear child and take thy rest
In Jesus arms forever blessed."
One fieldstone that the landowner said was an infant.

Not listed in Smith County Cemetery books.
( Note: John W. Frogue (Jr) was the son of John William Frogue Sr. and Ollie Lemons
who were married on Christmas Day 1892. Headlines of the Carthage newspaper in 1911
noted that "Little Johnny Frogg Dies". This spelling of the Frogue name continued
until the early 1900's according to family members)
