Lamons Cemetery
The Lamons Cemetery is located on hill behind the house on the Hugh West Farm at
#17 Turkey Creek Highway. New markers have replaced the large marble tombstones
which were removed in September 2004 to be placed in a Carthage cemetery.

Note: Gideon B Lamons was a Confederate soldier and received a gunshot wound to the
shoulder in battle. His wife filed for Confederate Widows pension - #W4132

These Stones were once in the Lamons Cemetery but have been moved to
Ridgewood Cemetery in Carthage.
