Funeral services for Charlie Edward Patterson,
69, Retired Farmer of the Defeated Community, were conducted at the Sanderson
Funeral Home Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Billie Boyd. Burial was in Defeated
Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died of a heart attack at his Home
last Thursday. He was born and reared in the Defeated Community, a Son of the
late John and Jane Leath Patterson. He had lived at Defeated all his life. He
was a member of the
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lucy Patterson; two
daughters, Mrs. Jewell Dillehay, Carthage Rte 1, Mrs. Athel Lankford, Rte 2
Pleasant Shade, a Son, Wendell Patterson, Rte 2 Pleasant Shade; two sisters,
Mrs. Clyde Griswold, Gallatin, Mrs. Grady Bryant, Nashville; a brother, Johnny
Patterson, Gallatin; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Vernon Mathews,
Odie Russell, Cortis Lee Russell, Leonard Grizzle, Malcolm Patterson, Cortez
Patterson, Ralph Patterson and Thurman Patterson.
