Oak Grove School - 1924
Oak Grove School was located on Oak Grove Road (now called Gladdice Road) between Little
Salt Lick and Martin Hollow Road. The school burned in the early 1950's. In the above 1924,
picture Gene Wiggins is the first person on the top row left.

NOTE: From Martha Rysak-Grist Dec. 12 2008
The 11th girl on the 1st row in the checked skirt is my great-aunt, Iona Belle Bullard.
The girl right behind her on the 2nd row in the white dress with the bow is my great-aunt,
Marjorie Marie Bullard and the boy in the bib overalls with long sleeve shirt and dark brown
hair (2nd from the right) is my great-uncle, Raymond Ellis Bullard. They are all siblings
and the children of my great grandfather, Robert Lee Bullard, post master of Difficult and
great grand mother, Martha Emma Kemp. She was the daughter of John Marlin Kemp and Amanda
Sarah West, both buried in the Kemp family cementery on the Granstaff farm in Friendship
Hollow. My great-grandfather's parents were William Bullard and Darthula Clementine Petty.
They are buried at Diixon Springs.

In this 1925 picture Gene Wiggins is the 3rd person top row left. My mother, Birdie

know any of the other people, but she went to school with people with surnames
of Matthews, Jones, West, Kittrell, Kemp and Law.
