given the DAR by Minnie Armistead LUNDEE, who was descended from Thomas
& Drucilla BEARD ARMISTEAD. In her application to DAR she put down
some strange information which has since been changed, & never supported
by documentation. Subsequently, Virginia A Garber & others relied on
this information in their histories of the ARMISTEAD family. I am a direct
descendant of John ARMISTEAD (War 1812), who came to Oglethorpe County
GA & after death of Keziah married Amy POWELL OWENS. The only reference
is in the Will of John ARMISTEAD d.1830 in Smith Co. TN to a son John,

BUTLER
I am researching my great grandfather Alonzo Lewis Butler, born May 1859.
According to census records he was born in TN, his father was born in TN,
and his mother was born in AL. I have all the information after he married
my great grandmother, but nothing before his marriage. Any help is very
appreciated. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Tammy Covey
