This photo-stat shows old fashion writing on a bordered, old-looking record. The writing is supposedly the hand writing of Joel R. Crenshaw.

There are two columns of births:

Joel R. Crenshaw was born on the 23rd day of August, 1824
Adrian I. Davidson was born on the 16th day of March, 1827

William Crenshaw and Susan Carr, the father and mother of David Crenshaw, the husband of Frances Thompson (Daughter of Betsy Davis), the father and mother of Nathaniel Crenshaw, the husband of Harriet S. (Seawell*) Rice, the father and mother of Joel R. Crenshaw.

*Name SEAWELL furnished by Miss Mayme Brevard, dau of Mary Loretta Crenshaw. Harriet Rice (above named) was the daughter of Elisha Rice and Nancy Collier.

(Second Column) Harry L. Crenshaw was born on the 15th day of June 1851 W. F. Crenshaw was born on the 28th day of November, 1853
Laura Elvira Crenshaw was born on the 17th day of June 1856
Thos. Wesley Crenshaw was born on the 14th day of January 1859
Mary Loretta Crenshaw was born on the 11th day of August 1861
Joel Davidson Crenshaw was born on the 30th day of August 1864
Rufus A. Crenshaw was born on the 4th day of February, 1867


Joel R. Crenshaw and Adrianna I. Davidson were married on the 16th day of August A. D. 1849
Joel R. Crenshaw and Nancy B. Shy were married on the 20th day of April 1871
Laura Elvira Crenshaw and John L. DeBow were married 23 of Jan. 1884
Rufus A. Crenshaw and Lide Barksdale were married on the 27th of Dec 18_
Harry Lauderdale Crenshaw and Margie Cox were married _ day of 18_
William F. Crenshaw and Mollie Crenshaw were married day of _
Mary Loretta Crenshaw and Cyrus W. Brevard were married 15th day of March 1882

Compilers Notes:

This researcher has not seen this bible but brings attention to the fact that there are "two columns" and there seems to be a great deal more information other then name and date of birth, marriage, and death.
