This photo was probably taken cir. 1907 in Franklin TN, of PARALA ANNE SANDERS-Pentecost-Cole. She was the daughter of Shelby D Sanders and Martha (Patsie) M. Williams (Dishea?). Born in Sandersville, Sumner Cty, TN in 1840. She is my ggrandmother. She changed her name from Parala Anne to Anne P. as soon as she probably could and went by that name until her death in 1922. She's listed in the family under Shelby D. Sanders (blacksmith) in the 1840 and 1860 Sumner Cty TN. census. The matronly lady in the chair is Parala Anne (or Anne P.), known in the family as "Big Momma." Others in the photo are (Standing from left to right - Lawson (known as Lawsie) A. Sanders-Petway, her sister-in-law Ann (?) Petway, her brother, Robert E. Petway, and kneeling, my mother Ablee Suggs-Stewart-Ryan.
Anne Sanders married a Absolum Pentecost in Nashville TN in 1860, and they had two children (that are known of); a son, Absolum, Jr. who died in 1867, and a daughter, Willis Jennifer (Jenny) Sanders-Petway (my grandmother).
