| The follorwing photographs
were submitted to the Wayne County Historical Society by the late James "Jim"
Lowery of Collinwood, Tennessee. Mr. Lowery stated that a co-worker had given them
to him in the 1950's. The photographs were made by Brandt Photo of either Sheffield or Tuscumbia, Alabama and are thought to have appeared as part of an article about Collinwood, Tennessee published in the "Muscle Shoals Monthly" magazine. This magazine was a promotional publication, extolling the benefits of the Muscle Shoals, Alabama area at a time when Henry Ford was seeking to buy the Wilson Dam and the Muscle Shoals Nitrate Plant system. From the numbers appearing on the photographs, there appear to have been at least 27 or more photographs. Numbers 19, 22, 23, 25, 26 and 27 are published here. It is not known if any of of the other photographs survive. The Wayne County Historical Society would be interested in obtaining the remaining photographs (or photographic copies or scans thereof) if they exist. Please contact Edgar D.
