William J. Jackson
19th (Biffle's) TN Cav., CSA.

 
  Sgt. William James Jackson, Company A, 19th Biffle Cavalry, taken in 1864, he was captured on Christmas eve, 24 of December 1864, burning the bridges at Pulaski, Tennessee, stopping the federal soldiers from capturing CSA soldiers on the retreat from the Battle of Franklin, he was sent to Nashville, then on to Camp Chase, Ohio, where he was kept till May 1865, he walked home to Tennessee, then got his wife with child, my great grandfather William James (Bose) Jackson and then he died in 1867 in Wayne County, his wife then raised their three children, Andrew (babe) Jackson, Francis Jackson Christian and William James (Bose) Jackson.
