Relinquishment of Property by Heirs of Robert DOUGHTY, decd.1845.

Re: Deed. Written 6 March, 1846; s/Doughty Heirs 11 October 1847;
                     Executed and Registered, 12 October, 1847

Re: ROBERT DOUGHTY, deceased and heirs.

I, DUNCAN JOHNSON, Administrator of ROBERT DOUGHTY, deceased, do by
virtue of the power in me vested by law and in compliance with a bond
made by said ROBERT DOUGHTY in his lifetime conveying unto JONATHAN
BAILEY for the consideration mentioned in said Bond paid to the said
ROBERT DOUGHTY in his lifetime, the tract of land therein described
containing by estimation 37 acres lying in WILSON County, State of
Tennessee, bounded as follows beginning at a cedar said BAILEY's
northeast corner, running with a row of peach trees east 66 poles to
McEACHERN's line, coming to a small hickory and elm near a forked cedar,
thence south with McEACHERN's line 94 poles to an ash and cedar, it
being said DOUGHTY southwest of the original tract, thence west 52 poles
to BAILEY's line and thence with said BAILEY's line with the meanders to
the beginning, to have and to hold the said BAILEY his heirs and assigns
forever. The title to which land I hereby bind the heirs of the said
ROBERT DOUGHTY to warrant and defend to the said JONATHAN BAILEY and his
heirs against the lawful claims of all persons whatever in as full and
ample effectually as they could be bound if the said ROBERT DOUGHTY had
executed this deed himself according to the power in me by law vested.
Given under my hand and seal this the 6th day of March, 1846.

We the undersigned do hereby relinquish all our rights, title and
interest in the above described tract or parcel of land to the said
JONATHAN BAILEY, in testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands
this 11th day of October, 1847.

State of Tennessee, Wilson County}
Personally appeared before me JOSIAH S. McCLAIN, Clerk of the County
Court of said County of Wilson, ABRAHAM BRITTAIN and HENRY BRADLEY,
subscribing witnesses to the within deed, who being sworn depose and
say they are acquainted with DUNCAN JOHNSON, the within named bargainer
and that he acknowledged the same to be his act and deed in their
presence on this day and that they are also acquainted with WILLIAM
DOUGHTY, LUCINDA DOUGHTY, BENJAMIN W. GILL, HENRY WHEELER and LORENZO
D. DOUGHTY, whose names appear to the within deed of relinquishment
and that they signed, sealed and executed the same in their presence
upon the day it bears date.
