Sarah was born on 16 August 1865 at Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.1,2 She was the daughter of David McConnehey and Sarah Fisher. She married James Clarence Moore at Decatur, Adams County, Indiana, on 22 September 1889. MARRIAGE RECORD:

Be it remembered that on this twenty-second day of September, 1889 the following marriage license was issued, to wit: State of Indiana, to wit: Adams County, SS.
To all who shall see these presents, greeting: Know ye, that any person legally authorized to solemnize matrimony, is hereby licensed to join in marriage as husband and wife, James C. Moore and Sarah Melissa McConnehey, and for so doing this shall be his sufficient authority. Witness, John D. Hale, Clerk of the Adams Circuit Court this twenty-second day of September 1889.
Be it further remembered, that on this twenty-third of September 1889, the following certificate was filed in my office, to wit: State of Indiana, Adams County, to wit: This certifies, that I joined in marriage, as husband and wife, James C. Moore and Melissa McConnehey on the twenty-second of September, 1889. Rev. G. B. Work..3,4 She married John C. Beck at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, on 20 December 1917.1 Sarah died on 31 March 1933 at age 67.1
Sarah was listed as a household member living with David McConnehey on the 1870 Census at Union Twp., Adams County, Indiana.2 Sarah was listed as a daughter in David McConnehey's household on the 1880 Census at Decatur, Adams County, Indiana.5
