     Michael was born on 1 December 1861 at Borgo Partenope, Cosenza, Italy.1,2,3 He was the son of Antonio Ferro and Clementina Covello. He married Mary Madeline Laurie circa 1891.1 Michael died on 24 April 1947 at Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan, at age 85.

      Michael Ferro, 85 years old, died at 4 o'clock Thursday morning in his home at 201 North Maple Grove Avenue. He had been in failing health for three years.
      Born in Borgo Partenope, Italy, July 1, 1861, he came to this country when he was 18 years old. He had been a resident of Hudson for 28 years and operated a confectionery here until his retirement 15 years ago.
      Surviving are his widow, Mary, two daughters, Frances and Christine, both at home; one son, Frank A. of Trenton, N. J; and a brother, Frank of Elkhart, Ind.
      The funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Bernard P. Hoey officiating. The bearers were B. T. Russell, L. G. Brennan, Edward Flory, Joseph O'Reilly, Carl Reuter and Guy McGill, and burial was in Calvary cemetery.
      Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the services were from Trenton, N. J., Elkhart, Ind., Youngstown, Bryan and Defiance, O., Coldwater, Adrian, Hillsdale and Morenci.

His occupation was listed as "Dealer Confectionary" in the 1900 census for Trenton, New Jersey. He was also listed as the owner and manager of a confectionery in the 1920 census of Hudson, Michigan.

Michael immigrated, in 1887.
