     Michael was born on 8 June 1908 at Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey.1 He was the son of Natale Ferro and Nunziatta Viteritto. He married Grace Isabelle Welker at Monticello, White County, Indiana, on 10 April 1930.2 Michael died on 7 October 1993 at Valley View Health Care Center, Elkhart, at age 85.

OBITUARY:

Friends of Michael V. Ferro, 85, of 181 N. Elkhart Ave., may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral Home, where a rosary service will be at 4:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. The Rev. Richard Hire will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.
Mr. Ferro died at 8 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 7, 1993) at Valley View Health Care Center, where he had been patient (sic) since May 6, 1992.
He was born on June 8, 1908, in Trenton, N.J., and married Grace I. Welker on April 10, 1930, in Elkhart. She survives with two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Betty) Huot and Millie Ferro, both of Elkhart; four sons, Michael and John, both of Elkhart, Gerry of LaGrange and David of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Virginia Ferro, Mary Treckelo and Mildred Whyler, all of Elkhart, and Elizabeth Singleton of Decatur; two brothers, Joseph of Elkhart and James of Fort Lauderdale, Fla; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. One brother, Ernest, is deceased.
Mr. Ferro was a former tool and die maker, retiring from Excel after 30 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Elkhart Moose Lodge 599.

. His body was interred on 11 October 1993 at St. Vincent Cemetery, Elkhart.
     Michael were listed as sons in Frank Ferro's household on the 1910 Census at Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan.1 Michael were listed as sons in Frank Ferro's household on the 1920 Census at Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan.3
