researching your ancestors in Trinidad and Tobago is more
difficult that some of the other islands of the West
Indies. Trinidad has been reluctant to allow any
microfilming of their records, unlike islands like
Barbados, so you will find almost nothing through
organizations like the Church
of Latter Day Saints.
As one of the researchers helping me with this site has
pointed out, "the top priority for T&T Genealogy is
the protection of records in Trinidad & Tobago by
archival-quality microfilming. Encouraging access,
without this, may lead to the permanent loss of much of
Trinidad and Tobago's untold history". We now have an

preserving this history.
Individuals doing paid
research in Trinidad are virtually non-existent. If you
happen to live in England, you will have easier access to
