William F. Wienecke, Resident Here 71 Years, Dies At Home On Friday
William F. Wienecke, prominent retired farmer of this area, died at his home
at 11:50 a.m. on Friday, August 10, at the age of 78 years. He was born in
Coming to
Mr. Wienecke was a member of the Lutheran church and of the Sons of Herman
lodge. He was married to Miss Bertha Luhn on December 11, 1901, at Bellville and she preceded him in death several years ago.
Services were held from the Pete Etlinger Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Sunday,
August 12, with Rev. A. W. Weber officiating. Burial was at Oak Knoll with Ben Dickehut, Werno Luhn, A. A. Ueckert, Willie Schultz, H. P. Meissner and
Rees Willrodt serving as pallbearers.
A large number of friends attended the rites.
Surviving are one son, Monroe Wienecke of Bellville, a sister, Mrs. W. M.
Buelow, also of Bellville, and three grandchildren. A brother died some years ago.
