Funeral services for Bessie Shupak Jochec, 93, of New Braunfels, Texas
were held Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel
in Bellville with Rev. Michael Groseclose officiating. Interment was at the
National Cemetery in Nelsonville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Lloyd Jochec, Stan Jochec, Gene Slovak, Jeff
Harmon, Tim Harmon and Greg Harmon.
She lived and grew up in Nelsonville and Bleiblerville area where she
attended school. On Sept. 23, 1926, she married Louis Jochec, being
married 52 years before his death in August of 1978. They were blessed with five
children, 4 sons and 1 daughter. They lived in Austin, Fayette, Fort Bend
and Comal counties. Bessie worked on the farm and later in life she was
employed as a sales lady in retail business stores until reaching
retirement. Bessie and Louis moved from Rosenberg to New Braunfels in
Bessie Shupak Jochec died Thursday, April 17, 2003 in New Braunfels,
She is survived by her son Melvin Jochec and wife Shirley of New
Braunfels, Texas, daughter Delores Harmon Niemeier and husband Wilton of El Campo,
Texas, daughter-in-law Jeannie Jochec of Katy, Texas, grandchildren Jan
Jochec of New Braunfels, Jayne Jochec of New Braunfels, Bob Jochec of
Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Stan Jochec of Spicerwood, Texas, Jeff Harmon
of Bastrop, Texas, Tim Harmon of Minden, Louisiana, and Greg Harmon of
Pflugerville, Texas and six great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Louis Jochec on August 9,
1978, son Reuben R. Jochec on April 29. 1995, twin sons, Wilborn and
Wilfred Jochec in June of 1930, parents Willie and Annie Shupak, brothers Jessie
Shupak of Sheridian, Texas and Johnnie Shupak of Nelsonville, Texas,
grandson Bill Jochec granddaughter, June Jochec and son-in-law J.B.
