Eva Loraine Rasmussen Kenter was born June 7, 1916 in Pierce, Texas,
the daughter of Carl and Annie Kate Bennetsen Rasmussen. She grew up
and attended school in the Pierce-El Campo-Wharton area. After
graduating from high school, she moved to Galveston to work.
She was united in marriage with Leslie Fred Kenter on July 16, 1939
in Galveston. They made their home in Galveston for 1 year before
moving to Bellville where they were members of St. John Lutheran
Church. Leslie preceded Eva in death in November 1975.
An excellent cook, Eva took great pride in the fact that she taught
daughters to cook. A loving mother and grandmother, she was
particularly devoted to her great grandchildren, and cherished the
time she spent with them. She enjoyed canning, playing Bingo and
quilting, and was a member of the Garden Club.
Eva passed away Thursday, December 4, 2003.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at St.
John Lutheran Church in Bellville with Pastor Milroy Gregor
officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Knoll Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Kulow, Darrell Pfeffer, Darren Pfeffer, Jay
Lewellen, Tommy Price and Wayne Krenek.
She is survived by her daughters Reva Loesch and her husband Delton
of Bellville and Judy Cable and her husband Perry of Brenham;
grandchildren Darrell and Janis Pfeffer of Frelsburg, Lori and Jay
Lewellen of Bellville, Darren Pfeffer of Bellville and Maria and
Kevin Kulow of Sealy; 7 great grandchildren Kayla and Kari Pfeffer,
Chelsey and Jenna Lewellen, Jason Pfeffer, Justin Reynolds and Kyle
Kulow. She is also survived by her brother Oscar Rasmussen; sisters
Myrtle Krenek, Nina Price and Rose Martinka; brother-in-law Franklin
Kenter and his wife Grace, numerous other relatives
and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her
granddaughter Kristin Loesch.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Schmidt Funeral
Home in Bellville.
