Funeral services for Amalie "Molly" Manak, 76, of Sealy,
Texas formerly of Houston, were held Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 10 a.m. from
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Octavio Muguerza
celebrating the Funeral Mass and rite of committal.
Interment was at
Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Sealy. A vigil service was recited by
Msgr. Boli Zientek Monday at 7 p.m. followed by a KJZT rosary from Knesek
Bros.Funeral Chapel.
Serving as pallbearers were Nikolas Manak, Kyle Manak,
Michael
Manak, George Mock, Scot Long and Brian Klotzman.
Born in Fayetteville, Texas Molly was the daughter of Anton
and Sophie
(Chovanec) Slansky. She was raised in the Frydek area and
attended the St.
Marys' Catholic School in Frydek. On February 10, 1946, Molly
and Mr. Joe
J. Manak were married with ceremony held at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in
Frydek. Molly was a Food Service Manager in Houston area
schools for many
years, K.J.Z.T. and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Amalie "Molly Manak passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003 in
Tomball, Texas.
Survived by her daughter JoAnn Tinney and husband Gary of
Frisco, Texas, sons Joe D. Manak and wife Brenda of Hunt, Texas, Larry Manak
and wife Lydia of the Woodlands, sisters Annie Navratil and husband Louie of
Wharton, Martha Mock and husband Charles of Frydek, and Louise Keyes
and husband Marvin of Houston, brothers Edward Slansky and wife Cecilia of
Frydek, and Sylvester Slansky and wife Mary Ann of Houston, grandchildren
Katherine Tinney, Julie Long and husband Scot, Diana Klotzman and
husband Brian, Lee Murray, Kyle Manak and Jana and Nikolas Manak, great
grandchildren Kalee Long, Jacob Long, Ashley Murray and McKenzie Manak.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Sophie
Slanksy, husband Joe J. Manak, sister Lillie Gabriel and brother Pete Slansky.
