Funeral services for Beatrice
Adeline Shattuck White, 80, of Houston, Texas were held Saturday,
Dec. 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. from Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, in Sealy,
Texas with Rev. Jason Korthauer officiating. Interment was at Cat
Spring Cemetery, in Cat Spring, Texas.
Pallbearers serving were Dan White, Richard Dennis, Vernon White,
Jeff Cleland, Nathan Gottfried, Marty Kanoulton and David Wade.
Honorary pallbearer was Brendan Dennis.
Beatrice Adeline White died Dec. 23, 2003 in Sealy, Texas.
Beatrice Adeline Shattuck White was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at
home. She was the sixth child of Beatrice Adeline Lynch Shattuck and
Albert W. Shattuck. A name had not been selected for the latest
arrival. The family doctor, honoring her mother, named her Beatrice.
Beatrice attended public schools in California and Okmulgee where
she graduated in the class of 1940. A devoted alumnus, Beatrice
attended class reunions, as health permitted, until that program was
disbanded. Even at the ending of the reunions contacts were
maintained with many of those lifelong friends, until like Beatrice,
the final chapter was penned.
The former Beatrice Adeline Shattuck married Albert Daniel White
August 12, 1940 in a solemn ceremony in presence of their families
in the parlor of the home of her birth. To that union two children
Beatrice is survived by her husband Albert Daniel White, son Albert
Daniel, Jr. and wife Linda and daughter Cheryl Ann Dennis and her

White, Kimberly Ann Gottfried Cleland and her husband Jeff, Nathan
Gottfried and his wife Mei and Brendan Dennis. She is great
grandmother to Kelsey and Tristan Cleland and a new arrival Audrey
Danyelle White, daughter of Elizabeth, which was a sustaining factor
in Beatrice's life. She fretted over whether there would be
opportunity to see and hold Audrey.
Preceded in death by her father and mother,
sisters Ruth Bradshaw, Delores Kerr, Betty White and brothers
Admiral Charles Shattuck and Will (Father Bill) Shattuck.
