Funeral services for Pauline Babik, 74, of Sealy were held Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with the Rev. Bernard Snock celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Interment was at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers serving were Kenneth Bolt, Blayne Babik, Wayne Machala, Stephen Johnson, George Zboril and Philip J. Gregurek, Jr. Born in Sealy, Pauline was the daughter of Leopold and Zophie Vysocky Gregurek. She was raised in Frydek and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. The former Pauline Gregurek married Joe James Babik on June 18, 1951 with ceremony held in Wallis. Mrs. Babik was a lifelong homemaker, a member of KJZT of Frydek, St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Austin County Farm Bureau. Pauline Babik died November 29, 2004 in Sealy. She is survived by her daughters Rosalie Bolt of Sealy, Bernadette Frenzel of Columbus; son Joseph Babik and wife Sarah of Sealy; brothers Phillip Gregurek and wife Monetta of Sweeney, and Victor Gregurek; five grandchildren, Cindy Johnson and husband Steve of Austin, Terri Soza and husband Arthur of Fresno, Calif., Blayne Babik of Brenham, Craig Frenzel of Columbus, Kenneth Bolt of Sealy; and two great-grandchildren, Arick Johnson of Austin and Donavhin Soza of Fresno. She is preceded in death by her parents Leopold and Zophie Gregurek; her husband Joe James Babik; and her sister Rosalie Gregurek.
