Lynden Allen Wayne Hiland was born June 8, 2002 in Sterling, Ill., the son of George "Scott" Hiland and Nonie Starr. For the past month, Scott, Nonie and Lynden have made their home in Bellville.

Lynden passed away suddenly Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at his home.

He will be missed by his parents: Scott and Nonie of Bellville; grandparents Lori Schaney of Lincoln, Neb., John Starr and Shari Lenz of Oregon, and Linda Pitts and Tom Moreno of Sterling, Ill.; great grandparents Dorothy Hiland of De Kalb, Ill., Raymond W. Pitts of Milledgeville, Ill. and Gladys Kee of Benton, Ill.; aunts and uncles Patricia Rodriguez of Lincoln, Neb., Joshua Pitts and Hunter Starr of Sterling, Ill. and Joshua Beck of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Hiland, and great
grandparents Donna Pitts, Everett Hiland and Wayne Starr, Sr.

Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel, 213 Crawford Ave. in Dixon, Ill. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the South Pleasant View Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Lynden Hiland Memorial Fund, c/o Fifth Third Bank, 102 S. Galena Ave., Dixon, Ill. 61021.
