James H. "Harry" Keeshan was born September 2, 1919, in Houston and passed away Friday, may 8, 2004 in Bellville. Harry served is country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was employed at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber plant in Houston for 37 years, retiring to the Bellville area in 1981. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Aileen Wheeler Keeshan of Millheim; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Wanda Keeshan of Conroe; one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Melvin Graham of Kerrville; granddaughter, Jennifer Brown and husband, Steve, of Georgetown; grandsons, Clarke and Tod Keeshan of Conroe, Mark Graham of Kerrville and Macy Graham of Rockdale, as well as their wives and several great grandchildren; sister, Nita Price of South Houston. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Keeshan; two brothers, Charles W. and Emmit Keeshan; two sisters, Arlene Posak and Doris Keeshan; and one grandson, Michael Durrett Graham. Harry was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church, the Bellville Golf Course, the Millheim Harmonie Hall and the Millheim Cemetery Association. He was a lively and personable man who loved his family and his friends, and enjoyed golfing and working on the home place. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Bellville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Middleton officiating. Interment followed in the Millheim Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd and Clark Keeshan, Mark and Macy Graham, Steve Brown and Doug Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Bolton and Dr. Don Bosse. In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Bellville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 188, Bellville, TX 77418, or to the Millheim Cemetery Association, 4787 FM 949, Sealy, TX 77474. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home, Bellville.
