Kermit W. Reichardt, 93, passed away at River Oaks Health Care Center in
Columbus on September 23, 2004. Services were held Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2
p.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. Pastors Mark Anderson and Dale
Leland officiated the service with interment being held at Sealy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brian Berger, Matt Thielmann, David Hauschild, Roland
Reichardt, Michael Ashorn, and Doak Hartley. Honorary pallbearers were
Johnny Batla, Don Wible, Ruben Kveton, Elgien Konesheck, and Lee Kveton.
Kermit was born in Bernardo on December 22, 1910 to Otto and Minna Dierke
Reichardt. He was married to Miss Maydell Kulow on November 23, 1952. Kermit
was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy. He served his country
during World War II in the United States Army. Kermit was a self-employed
farmer and rancher in Bernardo his entire life.
He is survived by his wife, Maydell Kulow Reichardt of Bernardo; his
daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robert Berger of Columbus; step
grandchildren, Brian Berger and wife Amber, also of Columbus, and Tara
Berger of College Station; great grandchild, Zoe Katerine Berger;
sisters-in-law, Evelyn Michaelis of Sealy, and Ellie Mae Reichardt of
Bernardo; brothers-in-law Lester Ashorn of Sealy, and Merrill Wier of
Nevada; special friend of the family Nell Jenkins; and numerous nieces and
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Minna Dierke
Reichardt; brothers, Charlie, Arno, and Leslie Reichardt; sisters, Ellen
Weir, Elda Froebel, Leischen Suhr, Nellie Brosig and Erna Koy;
sister-in-law, Anita Ashorn; and brothers-in-law, Walter Kulow and Luke
