Gloria Choate Sellers, 79, died in Bellville on June 14, 2004. She was born and raised in Beaumont and attended St. Anthony's Catholic School and Lamar College. She married Joseph David Sellers, the love of her life, on June 23, 1947 and they enjoyed forty-nine years together until his death in 1996. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2004 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday evening, June 16, 2004, at the mortuary. She is survived by daughters, Diane Blanks and husband, Wayne, of Bellville and Jo Anne Huber and husband, Steve, of Austin. She leaves with wonderful memories her two precious granddaughters, Amee Danna of Katy and Courtney Huber of Austin, Russell and Kara Blanks of Houston. She is also survived by her brother, Godfrey Choate and wife, LaRue; and sister Billie Peavy; along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Sellers; parents, W.J. and Nora Lee Choate; and sister, Juanette Fleming. Gloria was a loyal friend to many, a loving wife and mother to her family, and the most fun-loving grandmother in the world.
