Funeral services for Adolph "Buck" Stamnitz, 86, of Sealy, were held on Friday, Jan, 23, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Bellville.

Serving as pallbearers were Raymond Kipp, James Hagen, Billy Hagen, Bobby Hagen, Ward Hagen and Robert Fait.

Adolph was born in Kenney, Texas to parents Gustav and Elizabeth (Patent) Stamnitz. He was raised in the Ives Creek Community and attended Ives Creek School. On Dec. 28, 1944, Mr. Adolph Stamnitz and the former Miss Mildred E. Abel, were married with ceremony held in Bellville. Adolph served in the United States Navy during WWII and attained the rank of Seaman First Class. He worked as a mechanic for Exxon for many years. Mr. Stamnitz was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellville and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy.

Adolph "Buck" Stamnitz passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 in Sealy, Texas.

He is survived by his daughters Lanetta Kipp and husband Raymond of Ledbetter, Ruth Elaine Stamnitz and friend Johnnie Surovik of Bellville; son Terrell Stamnitz and wife Jacquelyn of Bellville; sisters Clara Hagen of Bellville, Madglan Patterson of Meridian, Norma Krumrey of  Bellville; grandchildren, Stephen  Reynolds, Brian Reynolds,    Corey Reynolds, Rusti Baker, Vicki Stamnitz Strieder; five great grandchildren; special friend Estella Ball,  and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Elizabeth Stamnitz, his wife Mildred E. Stamnitz, brothers Sam Stamnitz, Gus Stamnitz, Jr., Emil Stamnitz, Charlie Stamnitz, Willie Stamnitz, and his sister Annie Konarik.
