Funeral services for Willie G. Brenner, 83, of Bellville, were held Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at 10 a.m. from Bellville United Methodist Church in Bellville with the Rev. Wayne Middleton officiating. Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers serving were Jimmy Brenner, Jake Brenner, Jeb Brenner, Greg Brenner, Michael L. Bockhorn and Jeff Bockhorn. Honorary pallbearers serving were Elva and Sarah Brenner, Kristy Brenner, Ricky Waak, Lisa Steck, Erin Brenner, Danny Steck and Members of the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary. Born in Safford, Ariz., Willie was the son of William and Otillie (Wiestruck) Brenner. He was raised in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School. In 1954, he graduated from Blinn Junior College. Willie worked in sales with American General Insurance for 18 years. Willie G. Brenner married the former Gladys L. Witte on Oct. 6, 1940 with ceremony held in Sealy. He served his country in the U.S. Army, was Past Commander of American Legion #115, a member of the Sons of Herman and a member of Bellville United Methodist Church. Willie enjoyed gardening, was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and played Scott Domino Game. Willie G. Brenner died Jan. 22, 2005 In Bellville. He is survived by his wife Gladys Brenner of Bellville; daughter Barbara Brenner Bockhorn and husband Larry of Gainesville, Texas, sons Glenn Ray Brenner and wife Betty of Brenham, James Dewitt Brenner and wife Kay of Bellville; grandchildren Lisa Steck and husband Danny, Kristy Brenner, Greg Brenner and wife Erin, Jimmie Brenner, Jake Brenner, Jeb Brenner, Michael Bockhorn and Jeff Bockhorn; and great grandchildren Madison, Claire and Lily Brenner and Matthew and Morgan Steck. Preceded in death by his parents William and Otillie Brenner. Memorial contributions may be made to Bellville United Methodist Church, P.O.
