Castaneda

Funeral services for Benita Castaneda, 33, of Sealy, were conducted August
10 at noon at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev.
Octavio Muguerza celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal.
Interment was in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Sealy.
Serving as pallbearers were Alberto Palamare, David Castaneda, Ernesto
Castaneda, Abran Castaneda, Agel Ocieda, and Joel Castaneda Avalos.
Benita Castaneda was born in Guanjuanto, Mexico, the daughter of Alfonso and
Maria (Monterde) Avalos. She grew up in Mexico and attended school there. In
1989 she married Jose Luis Castaneda in Mexico and settled in Sealy in 1993.
Benit and Jose have fine children, Melisa, Ainsley, Litzy, Jose and Juan
Castaneda, her sisters Teresa Avila, Maria Soledad Oviedo, Marta Mendoza and
Carmela Castaneda, and brothers Alfonso Avalos, Juan Avalos and Ascension
Avalos.
Benita was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Avalos.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral
Chapels, Sealy.
