Day Maude Elizabeth Berry Day was born September 27, 1916 in Dallas, the daughter of Frank Henry and Maude Elizabeth (Wynne) Berry. She died Thursday, June 29 in Bellville at the age of 88. Day was united in marriage with Alvis Franklin Day on May 20, 1941 in Houston. They made their home in Houston where together they owned and operated the AD Bonding Service for 24 years. In 1980, they moved to Shelby. Alvis preceded her in death on September 30, 1990. An avid reader, Maude was a great cook and pie maker. She was a member of the Bellville Church of Christ. Day is survived by: her daughter -- Caran Peterson and husband, Allan, of Katy; a Son -- Conrade Day and wife Donna, of Bellville; grandchildren -- Bradly Peterson; Berry Peterson and wife, Kathy, of Corpus Christi; Emily Day of Austin; Everett Day of Lubbock; Elizabeth day of Dallas; Ellen Day Crady and husband, Chad, of Dallas; and Elaine Day of Bellville; great-grandchild: Libby Peterson of Corpus Christi; and many friends and relatives. Besides her husband, Day was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 2 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Don Stevens officiating. In honor of Mrs. day's generous nature, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial gifts to the charity of their choice.
