    Betty Sue Patton Fox was born May 13, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas to
parents Thurman William and Alma Olean Cannon Patton. She grew up and
attended school in Fort Worth graduating as Valedictorian from Northside
High School in 1953.
    On July 11, 1953, Betty married Bob Fox in Fort Worth. They made their
home in Fort Worth. In 1969 they moved to Bellville where they have been
faithful members of the Bellville United Methodist Church.
    Betty was employed as secretary for the superintendent of the Bellville
Independent School District. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother, Betty was very active in her grandchildren and great
grandchildren¹s lives. She treasured the time she was able to spend with her
family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, shopping, reading and traveling. She
loved animals and was an avid supporter of Texas A&M University.
    Betty passed away suddenly September 13, 2005 in Bryan, Texas at the age
of 70. She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Bob Fox of Bellville;
daughters: Vicki Lockett and Amy Burt, both of Bellville; Grandchildren:
Robert and Ashley Lockett of Cistern, Lori and Jason Gaines, Reese and Karen
Lockett, Hallie and Cameron Morehead, all of Bellville, Sarah Burt of Fort
Worth and Kari Burt of College Station. She is also survived by her great
grandchildren: Cody, Kade, Cort, Gabby and Cayley; mother-in-law: Wanda Fox
of Bryan; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by
her parents.
    Funeral Service was held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2005 at the
Bellville United Methodist Church with Reverend Wayne Middleton officiating.
Burial followed in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were C.W. Pachal,
J.B. Jacobs, Kenny Stephens, Michael Frost, Jim Snell and C.M. Bruce.
Honorary Pallbearers were James Snell, Wayne Lockett and Bill Burt.
    In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts
to the Bellville United Methodist Church for Christian Education, P.O. Box

    Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral
