CLARA MARIE LENNEN FROEBEL

Clara Marie Leenen Froebel was born Dec. 11, 1907 in Sealy, the daughter of
Arnold and Bertha Schubert Leenen.
She attended the Peters-Hacienda schools, and was baptized and confirmed in
the Methodist faith.
On Nov. 21, 1928, Clara was united in marriage with Arthur Froebel, Sr. at
St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville. They made their home in Cat Spring
and were members of St. Johnıs. Arthur preceded Clara in death on July 1,
1990 after 61 years of marriage.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Clara enjoyed
gardening and cooking, and caring for her family.
Prior to moving to a rest home she resided for a number of years with her
daughter Betty Priesmeyer.
She passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in Bellville at the age of 97.
She is survived by her children  Cecil R. Froebel and his wife, Carrie, of
Sealy, Robert Gene Froebel and his wife, Ruth, of Houston, Clyde R. Froebel
of Brenham, Arthur Jr. ³Bootsie² Froebel and his wife, Faye, of Sealy,
Carlos W. Froebel of Bernardo and Betty Priesmeyer and her husband, R.H., of
Cat Spring;  grandchildren Keith Froebel, Bryce and Sandy Froebel, Vana
Froebel, Kem and John Coan, Reed and Dana Froebel, Corey and Kim Froebel,
Todd and Shannon Froebel, Bradley Froebel, Debbie and Lenny Krause, Sheila
and Rene´ Juardo, Deana and Jerry Brown, Thomas and Brandee Froebel, Brian
Froebel, Kevin and Robin Priesmeyer, and Beth and Jeff Prokop; great
grandchildren Alex and Will Froebel, Robby and Megan Coan, Austin and Ashley
Froebel, Alyssa and Kayla Froebel, Lindy and Laney Froebel, Logan and Kyler
Froebel, Kendra Krause, Dawson and Andrew Juardo, Erica and Dalton Brown,
Kaylee Froebel, Taylor and Morgan Priesmeyer and Dillan Prokop; sister Mae
Justus of Sealy; and many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, Arnold
and Jake Leenen, sisters, Bette Hancock and Trudy Holloway, and
daughters-in-law, Nancy and Virginia Froebel.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the Schmidt
Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with Pastor David Henske and Pastor Jennie
Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Cat Spring Cemetery.  Pallbearers
were Kevin Priesmeyer, Bradley Froebel, Brian Froebel, Thomas Froebel, Reed
Froebel, Bryce Froebel, Keith Froebel, Corey Froebel and Todd Froebel.
Honorary pallbearers were Vana Froebel, Kem Coan, Debbie Krause, Sheila
Juardo, Deana Brown and Beth Prokop.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to
St. John Lutheran Church, 520 North Holland, Bellville, Texas 77418.
Arrangements under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville.
