Gagnon May 10, 1932 - May 6, 2005
Marie Ann Gagnon was born to Maude and Thomas Norton in Port Leyden, New York. She grew up in Utica, New York, and attended parochial school. She felt a calling to the Lord and entered the Sisters of Charity convent as a novice. On a visit to Port Leyden, she met Elmer Rocker. She left the convent and they married in January, 1951. Marie enjoyed her career in electronics and retired from Square D in Florida. She enjoyed greeting people at Wal Mart in Brenham. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Jeanette Alcombright and her husbands Elmer Rocker and Norman Gagnon. Marie was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She passed away at her home in Bellville on May 6. She is survived by her daughters: Jacqueline and husband James of Bellville; Kathleen and husband Kenneth Malysa of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren: Kenny Malysa of Tom's River NJ; Jennifer and Kevin Maloy of Lebanon, New Jersey; Kirstin and Blake Kutach of Lexington, Md; and Kimberly Williams of Bellville; and one brother: Thomas Norton of Clearwater, Fla. Marie is also survived by cousins: Jane Pollack of Pegin, Illinois; Kimberly Bissaillon of Williamstown, Mass.,; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital and the Bellville Public Library.
