Helen Glaeser, 85, of Bleiblerville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, in Trinity Care Center. Helen Glaeser was born November 21, 1919 to Wilhelm and Frieda (Boecker) Lindemann in Welcome Community of Austin County where she attended school. On January 11, 1920 she was baptized by the Rev. Jacob Appel and confirmed on April 14, 1935 by The Rev. I.M. Mansur both in Welcome Lutheran Church. On September 21, 1939 she was united in marriage to Wilbert Herman Glaeser in Welcome Lutheran Church by the Rev. I.M. Mansur. She worked as a seamstress for Sealy Mattress. Mrs. Glaeser was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother-in-law Burgess Goeke and sister-in-law Irene Goeke. Her survivors include son Gene Ray Glaeser and wife Charlotte of Bleiblerville; daughters Darlain Fay Surovik and husband Frank C. and Bonnie Bolcerek and husband Julian, all of Brenham; grandchildren Renicko Lindquist, Ritchie and Patricia Surovik, Glenda Ramirez, Gene R. Glaeser, Jr., and Craig Glaeser; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, special friends and other relatives. Visitation was Thursday, May 5 in the Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services were held May 6th in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church on Welcome with Pastor Jason Korthauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Burney Boeker, Calvin Boecker, Roy Lee Goeke, DeWayne Goeke, Timothy Klaus and Leroy Brendig. Honorary pallbearers are Sealy Mattress Employees and her grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Welcome. Services by Brenham Memorial Chapel.
