Funeral Services for Bob Goodwin, 66, of Bellville were held Tuesday, April
5, 2005 at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bellville with the
Rev. Bob Gribble officiating.
Interment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Bellville. Pallbearers for the
service were Jesse Justiss, Glenn Smith, Bruce Ueckert, Arno Krebs, Archie
Seals and David Charpiot.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Henderson, Dr. Don Bosse, Dr. James B. Harle
and Homer Hard.
Marion Robert Goodwin was the son of Thomas Dabney and Anna Gustavus
Goodwin, born in McCamey, Texas on Dec. 28, 1938.
Bob graduated from Milby High School in 1957, played football under Darrell
Royal at the University of Texas and received his B.A. in 1961.
Bob served as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, Korean Conflict, from 1961 to
1963 before graduating from the University of Texas Law School in 1966.
Bob married Anne Weaver Sept. 3,1966 in Houston and shortly thereafter moved
to Bellville where he practiced law for over 30 years.
Mr. Goodwin died Saturday April 2, 2005 in Bellville.
Bob is survived by his wife, Anne Weaver Goodwin of Bellville, daughter; Amy
Goodwin of Austin, son, Hunter Goodwin and his wife Amber of College
Station, Texas
Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Anna Goodwin and brother Tommy
Goodwin.
