Elcie Rae Williams Graham was born March 13, 1927 to parents A.L. and Mattie Belle Shaver Williams. She was born, raised and attended school in DeKalb. In 1970, Elcie married Leland Graham in Raymondville. Leland preceded Elcie in death after four years of marriage. Before her retirement, Elcie was employed as an electronics inspector. A Methodist by faith, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was an excellent seamstress and cook and loved her cat, Tigress. She made her home in Bellville at the Palisades where she was involved in numerous social activities. Graham passed away Thursday, October 27 in a Webster medical facility at the age of 78. She is survived by her son: Willard A. Moore and his wife, Irene, of Clear Lake; daughter: Linda Douglas and her husband, Greg, of Weslaco; and grandchildren: Patrick Moore and his wife, Katy, of new Braunfels, Seth Moore of Clear Lake, Kelly Douglas of Round Rock, Casey Douglas and his wife, Veronica of Houston. Also surviving are her sisters: Erma Brewer and Dulcia Murray and her husband, Bob, all of Jal, New Mexico; Brother: Jake Williams of Texarkana; and numerous niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services were had at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30 at the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville with the Reverand Monte Byrd officiating.
