Clarence Grebe of Houston passed from this life on February 16, 2005. He was born on April 30, 1924 to parents Frederich and Emma Kuehn Grebe. He was baptized on July 6, 1924 at Welcome Salem Lutheran Church and was confirmed April 10, 1938 at the same church. He atended Austin County Schools and was inducted into the U.S. Navy where he served until honorary discharge in Marh of 1946. On April 16th of the same year, he and Doris Hartmann were united in marriage at St. John Lutheran of Bellville. They made their home in Houston where they both worked and raised their family. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2005 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, with Pastor Harold Fleishauer, officiating. Clarence is survived by his daughter Pam Cooper and husband Jim Cheryl Harris, sister Ora Nell Klump and husband Kirby, and sister-in-law Joyce Grebe. Also grandsons Cameron and Regan Cooper, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. His nephews served as pall bearer: Tomm Rohde, Rueben Grebe, Kenneth Grebe, Warren Klump, and Freddie Warmke. He was preceded by his parents and wife Doris, brothers Rueben, Harold, Norris, and sister Lillie Mae Warmke. Proceedings were handled by Cypress Fair Banks Funeral Home.
