Barbara Lee Stepsky Hanson was born April 15, 1938 in Rochester, NY. The
daughter of John and Ann Schwartz Stepsky, she grew up and attended school
in Rochester where she was united in marriage with Thomas Hart Hanson on
July 31, 1962.
On July 26, 2002, Thomas preceded Barbara in death after 40 years of
marriage.
A Catholic by faith, Barbara had most recently made her home in Bellville.
She enjoyed music, attending the church service at Briarwood Manor, watching
movies and treasured the time spent with her family and grandchildren.
She passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in a Bellville hospital at the
age of 67. She is survived by her children: Theresa Wood of Rochester, New
York, Patrick Joseph Hanson of Los Angeles, CA, Thomas Paul Hanson of San
Antonio and Mary Hanson Podrazik of Casper, Wyoming; and her grandchildren:
Barbara Wood of  of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Sydney Podrazik and Fallon Podrazik
of Casper, Wyoming; one great-grandson. Besides her husband, Barbara was
preceded in death by her father, John Stepsky, in 1981 and her mother, Ann
Stepsky, in 2002.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 5 at the Carrington
Cemetery in Sunnyside, Texas with Father Tim Bucek officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Schmidt Funeral Home,
Bellville.
