Harold Guinn "Baldy" Harrison was born Nov. 28, 1924 in Bedias, the son of Roy E. and Minnie (Smith) Harrison. He grew up and attended school in Bedias and Navasota. After graduation from high school, he attended Sam Houston State Teacher College in Huntsville. Baldy has made his home in Bellville since 1949 where he has worked as a rancher and owner of Harrison Farm Service. He was a member of the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers' Association and the Bellville United Methodist Church. He passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 in a Bellville nursing facility at the age of 80. He is survived by his daughters: Julie Tegeler and her husband, Larry, of Brenham, and Georgana Marek and her husband, David, of Bellville; and son: Philip Harrison and his wife, Jeanette, of Bellville. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sara and Haley Marek of College Station, James Harrison of Austin, John Harrison of Bellville, Amey Rogas and husband, Russell, of Brenham, Bradley Tegeler of Houston; great grandchildren: Britt, Grant and Benjamin Rogas of Brenham; brother: Charles Harrison and his wife, Peggy of Bedias; and many other dear friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Uldene McIntyre, and brother-in-law, Dick McIntyre. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 25 at Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville with Pastor Jennie Jones and Pastor David Henske officiating. Interment followed in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Rogas, Bradley Tegeler, James Harrison, John Harrison, David McIntyre and Cole Harrision. Honorary Pallbearers were Keith Robertson, Daniel Garcia, Charles Kokemor, Keith Kidwell and Billy Lange.
