Henrichsen Charles Erwin Henrichsen, Jr. was born August 11, 1938 in Bellville. The son of Charles Erwin Sr. and Daisy Waldrop Henrichsen, he grew up and attended school in Bellville, graduating from Bellville High School in 1956. Charles served his country in the United States Navy for four years. After his honorable discharge, he attended Sam Houston Sate University in Huntsville. In 1963 he was united in marriage with Barbara Eckart in Houston. Employed as a machinist in Houston for a number of years, Charles also worked as a gunsmith and made custom rifles. In the 1970s he owned and operated the Brahma Inn in Bellville. As one who liked working with his hands, Charles' hobbies included woodworking and art. He also enjoyed motorcycles, and loved the ocean, treasuring the time he spent sailing. He passed away Sunday, Sept. 4 at his home in San Leon, at the age of 67. He is survived by his sons: Charles "Chuck" Henrichsen III and his wife, Debbie, of Marysville, Washington and Jeffrey Scott henrichsen of Bacliff and his daughter: Cyndi Standford of San Leon. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Jenny and Mandy Henrichsen, Jeffrey Scott Jr. and Meagan Henrichsen, Jessica Urbano, and tori Whiteren and her husband, lance; great grandchildren: Cody and Cade Whiteron; brother: Robert Henrichsen of Bellville; and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Barbara. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 at the Schmidt Funeral Home chapel in Bellville with the Rev. Wayne Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Knoll Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home. Posted by Joy Neely
